Old Time Cures

Tending

Care didn’t come with a plan. It came from paying attention. Somebody noticed you weren’t yourself. A kettle was put on. A jar of salve set out. Salts poured into warm bath water. This space holds those old ways of tending — the small, ordinary comforts passed down by watching and remembering. Not cures measured out or written down, but acts of care trusted to do their work, steadying the body and easing the sick back to well.
