Kinfolk Stories - The Long Remembering

My grandmother, Omega Fleming Lowe, in the 1940s. She is the daughter of Bettie (Burch) and Charles Thomas Fleming, and grew up on Cherry Road in Hayesville, NC. Photo Credit: Family Photo.

    The Long Remembering

The Long Remembering is where I gather what time almost forgets — family stories, letters, photographs, and fragments of a life once lived in these hills. Some belong to my own kin; others are pieces of a larger mountain story still echoing through these valleys.

This is a place for memory that lingers — for the people who shaped us, the land that held us, and the quiet work of keeping their names alive.
